Inspiration: Start by sending me any photos, fabrics, color palette, mood, painting style, etc. that you would like me to work from.  Also, take a look at my instragram page to see if any of my past work particularly resonates with you. The more inspiration, the better!

Desired Canvas Size: I am happy to help you decide on the appropriate size for your space.

 

Date Needed for Completion: Commissions can take anywhere from 3-6 weeks, or more, especially around the holidays.  We can discuss if my painting schedule allows for a particular date of completion, be it a birthday, anniversary, etc.

Changes:  Upon completion, I will send you images for review or you are welcome to come to my Alexandria, VA studio.  We will review the finished piece together, determining if any changes need to be made. These changes may include tweaking colors, shapes, etc. Please note: only a couple changes are allowed before additional fees apply.

 

To frame or not to frame:  I offer framing services at an additional cost.  This can be decided once piece is complete.

Pricing: The commission fee for an abstract or landscape depends on the size, subject, complexity and time to completion. After we have agreed upon the details, and you have received the estimated quote for the piece, a deposit is made for 50% of the full price to get started.  Once we are both happy with the final product, full payment is due prior to delivery or shipment of the painting.  Shipping is not included in the price of the piece and will be determined based on your location and speed of shipping, most likely via UPS. Please understand that once commissioned work begins, all sales are final.
